Meg (Trent's sister) and Jeff got married in Milwaukee this past weekend and we had a great time celebrating with them. Elise was the perfect age to be a flower girl. She loved having her hair styled, wearing a princess dress, and spending every possible minute with the bride (on a side note, she wants to be a "witch bride" for Halloween, which she defines as wearing a wedding dress with a witch hat and broom... interesting combination of her idol Meg and love of villains). The reception was tons of fun and Elise danced until the lights came on (she lasted longer than her mom). Miles also had a great time and didn't mind being passed around to both relatives and strangers (i.e., guests at the reception).

In other news, we're home safe & sound with no future travel plans. Miles has fully adjusted to his daycare and Elise continues to love school. Her latest interest is playing "what does this spell?" The game can be played with any and every word she sees, a combination of random letters, or part of her name with a different ending. She also likes to write lists and "announcements" that often contain important information for her parents (too bad we can't decipher them).
