About an hour south of our house, in the Santa Rita Mountains, is Madera Canyon. We visited for the first time and really enjoyed it! It was very green... possibly because it's monsoon season or the higher elevation. We had a picnic, got rained on and hiked around for awhile. Trent and I would like to return without the kids to do some more serious hiking.
