To make a long story short, it looks like we'll be spending another year in Tucson. We have mixed feelings about this. Trent was disappointed that the Houston and Eugene jobs didn't work out, especially after 4 days of intense interviews. But we like living in Tucson and it will be good to enjoy a slower pace next year. Trent has some opportunities at U of AZ that look promising and Elise will be thrilled to return to St. Mark's for her last year of preschool. I'm hoping for an easier '09-10 school year with a K-5 caseload, rather than early childhood. We've started looking at some dates and flights for a MN/WI visit this summer. We're thinking end of June to mid-July. It will be great to see everyone!

Ups and Downs
The past 4 weeks have been full of ups and downs. Trent was gone for a week while he interviewed at Houston and Eugene. When he returned, we began the awful process of "waiting to hear." He has also been busy completing his lecture-recital, preparing for oral comps and studying for finals. Not to mention end-of-the-year concerts. Thrown into the mix: a sick Elise and a clingy Miles. For the past 3 weeks or so, Miles has exhibited significant separation anxiety. He doesn't even like it when one parent leaves the room. So things have been a bit crazy around here! Cocktail hour often starts as soon we we get home from work/school.
